Families in Transition of SCPS

Families in Transition (FIT) is a program of the Foundation of Seminole County Public Schools. It was established in 2003 under the McKinney Vento Act to protect the educational rights of homeless children. In addition to ensuring that students are immediately enrolled in school and that barriers are removed, FIT uses donated funds to address educational and emergency last resort basic needs. These may include food, clothing, housing, hygiene supplies, school supplies and access to educational opportunities so they can be educationally successful despite their housing crisis.
